Donald Trump got booed while attending a sporting event on Sunday, according to news reports.
Trump took family and close advisers to the FIFA Club World Cup final this weekend. When the national anthem started, the Jumbotron displayed Trump saluting.
It's at that point in time that some "boos rang out," and the camera quickly panned somewhere else, according to Matt Viser, White House bureau chief at the Washington Post.
"During the national anthem at the Club World Cup, the Jumbotron went to President Trump, who was standing and saluting next to FIFA president Gianni Infantino," he reported on Sunday. "Some boos rang out, and the screen quickly moved elsewhere."
CBS sports writer Pardeep Cattry said, "There were some very audible boos at MetLife Stadium as they showed Donald Trump on the screen during the national anthem (though they quickly cut away)."
Graeme Against the Corrupt GOP, a popular X account, chimed in:
"Trump getting booed at the FIFA Club World Cup during the national anthem."
"Excellent," the account added.
