Police in California have recovered some $30,000 worth of Labubu collectible toys that were stolen from a warehouse over the course of several days.
The Chino Police Department said detectives investigated a series of burglaries in which the suspects targeted the same warehouse in multiple trips over several days. They stole boxes containing Labubu figurines and plush toys, some of which, depending on their popularity or rarity, can fetch high prices online.
Investigators served a search warrant at a residence in Upland and recovered 14 boxes of stolen merchandise, valued at approximately $30,000. Detectives said evidence at the scene indicated the stolen Labubus were “being prepared for resale and shipment across the country.”
One suspect attempted to flee, but surrendered without incident, police said. The stolen Labubus were returned to their owners.
