A Saturday announcement by Attorney General Pam Bondi that she is dismissing charges against a doctor charged with helping people avoid Covid vaccines did not earn her much in the way of applause from supporters of Donald Trump.
Instead, she was raked over the coals over the Jeffrey Epstein files debacle that has led to a war within the Department of Justice she oversees.
With Bondi facing scrutiny from both sides of the aisle for defending the DOJ for trying to move on from the case of accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, her attempt on X to change the subject fell flat on Saturday.
Donald Trump's AG wrote, "At my direction @TheJusticeDept has dismissed charges against Dr. Kirk Moore. Dr. Moore gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused to do so. He did not deserve the years in prison he was facing. It ends today."
Getting Moore off the hot seat was a priority for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who recently wrote, "I am writing a letter to the DOJ asking all charges be dropped against Dr. Kirk Moore. who is facing thirty five years in federal prison for destroying thousands of vials of COVID-19 vaccine, giving his patients vaccine cards without taking the shots, and injecting saline into children whose parents wanted them to believe they got vaccinated without risking the deadly side effects. This man is a hero, not a criminal."
Bondi complied, but her announcement opened the door for MAGA fans furious about the missing Epstein client list that had been promised to them.
Logtime Trump supporter and frequent X-poster Gunther Eagleman suggested, " You only caved because of pressure let’s not forget that. Can you stop opining on social media and stick to official press releases? You have already degraded your position enough."
"You have underestimated the negative impact of your handling of the Epstein case. No “good news” you share is going to distract from this reality. We the Trump base have zero confidence in your ability to fulfill your duties. The honorable thing to do would be to resign," wrote LizaM.
Trump-supporting influencers the Hodgetwins responded with a terse "Now release the damn Epstein list."
Elon Musk fan Mr. Pitbull predicted, "If Pam Bondi remains Attorney General, none of the Deep State traitors like Leticia James, John Brennan, James Comey, Fauci, Adam Schiff, or AOC are ever going to jail, much less prosecuted. Not to mention the Dan Bongino, Kash Patel fallout! She has to go! That look....."
"When are you resigning?!!!!! We can’t lose Bongino and Kash because you’re lying about the Epstein files," accused Jammies.
"I expected good things from you but the Epstein debacle has damaged your credibility immensely. Nobody will let it go," added another Trump fan.
