Jason Momoa is proudly parading around with girlfriend Adria Arjona any chance he gets, but a source exclusively tells the National Enquirer that pals are rolling their eyes and telling him to quit being such a shameless attention-seeker.
“He’s trying to sell them together as this power couple when he should just lean back and enjoy the improbable success he’s had this year,” says the source. “It’s a bad look and he should know better, but the guy is silly in love and he can’t resist sharing that.”
Per the source, the Game of Thrones alum, 45, has been “on top of the world” with the blockbuster success of his live-action flick, A Minecraft Movie, amid his budding romance with the actress, 33.
“He deserves the win, and people love working with him because he always gives it everything he has,” the source says. “The problem is, no matter how much you pump something like this up, stardom is going to get in the way and Jason is vulnerable to that stuff.”
“Nobody likes signing autographs and posing for selfies with fans more than he does, not even Tom Cruise!” quipped the source.
Momoa and Arjona have been supporting each other’s careers since making their relationship public in May 2024. The Aquaman heartthrob recently hit the red carpet alongside his main squeeze at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her new movie, Splitsville.
“I love that I got to share such a special moment with my love and my forever favorite date @prideofgypsies,” she gushed in an Instagram post at the time.
Prior to that, the dynamic duo color coordinated by wearing purple while posing for photos at the London premiere of A Minecraft Movie in March, even taking a few snaps with his mom, Coni Momoa.
“Adria has a ton of charisma herself, but she uses it in a totally different way and isn’t hell-bent on being a superstar the way Jason is,” the source tells the National Enquirer. “She’s just good at her job and leaves it at that.”
However, some speculate that their romance could fizzle out despite both sharing a life in the spotlight. Says the source, “The huge differences in their personality is why everybody thinks there’s a ticking clock on this relationship and everything is going to blow up in Jason’s face!”
Momoa and Arjona previously worked together in the 2021 Netflix movie Sweet Girl, at which time he was still legally married to The Cosby Show alum Lisa Bonet.
Bonet, 57, filed for divorce from Momoa in January 2024, two years after their public separation announcement in January 2022. Their divorce was later settled.
Arjona, for her part, was formerly wed to lawyer Edgardo Canales. They married in August 2019 and reportedly split in 2023, according to In Touch.
The exes finalized their divorce months before she announced her romance with Momoa.
