A Democratic member of the House of Representatives is facing an avalanche of criticism for criticizing Sen. Alex Padilla (CA) after the California lawmaker was assaulted by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's security team as he tried to ask a question at a press conference.

After the mild-mannered Padilla was hustled out of the room, forced to the floor and handcuffed by FBI officials, Democrats across the board harshly criticized Noem with plans to call her before Congress to explain the actions of her team.

However Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) broke ranks and told Axios in the aftermath, "I think that it's never good when a senator or member of Congress gets roughed up by law enforcement." Speaking in an interview with Axios at the Capitol, he added, "I don't think politics as theater is what our job is here."

Having said that, he might not be pleased with the comments on his Bluseky account where one person called him a "spineless b----."

That was one of the nicer remarks on an unrelated post, where he claimed he was fighting for Maine's fishermen, from the lawmaker who has been AWOL on his account since his remarks.

"Your take on the Padilla situation is blindly maga. Considering your voting record, you’re showing us who you are and it’s disappointing," wrote JM Kait.

Choronisto complained, "We’re in the midst of a military occupation and campaign of domestic terror by our own government in a US metropolis that is 10x the pop of your entire state but yes pls lecture us on the best most yellow bellied way forward oh sage one."

"Why are you lying about Senator Padilla?" Audrey asked with Mr. Cait contributing, "Just stopping by to tell you you’re a spineless coward and collaborator and should go f--- yourself."

Robert Stribley advised, "This is embarrassing, cowardly stuff, mate. You have an opportunity right now to take a stand and make a difference, quite possibly like no other time in your life."

Jo Jo joked, "The intern running this account should copy all their emails and send them to a news outlet, change the passwords, and leave without giving notice."

"You owe the people of Maine a refund. They voted for a leader who doesn't capitulate to lunatics," accused Keebl3r right after The Daily Ghost Radio Hour advised, "You’re a pathetic f------ fool. Resign, bootlicker."
